Water Crisis in Yemen (Mini-report)

It's hard time for women and children to go through every day for water; they don’t have good methods to transport water nor can they afford to pump free water to their houses. The old government worked on solving that problem but after the revolution the new government didn't give this issues any attention. They said soon they will start working on it; by trying to stop the random wells digging and to preserve rain water. A huge amount of water is being wasted on planting Qat which is a drug and it can’t be eaten. Authorities are thinking about rainwater tanks which will help villagers to have easy access to water without being forced to travel for a long distance.  The new government should make an effort to try helping people in Yemen now or in 10 years it’s going to be a disaster due to their region climate and increase in population.
